洙泗 (the first character has the fanqie shu + zhu [zhū]; the second character has the fanqie si + zi [sì]; Du Yu's commentary on the Zuo zhuan says: "The Zhu River lies north of the city of Lu." The second has the pronunciation si [sì]; the Shanhaijing says: "The Si River flows out from the northeast of Wu, passes Huling, and flows into the Eastern Sea." The Shuowen says: "Both characters Zhu and Si have the water radical.")
