疏瀹（下芋略反孟子云瀹水源通利也聲類云瀹物蹔內湯兩出也文字典說云漬也從水龠聲）。

Dredging and unblocking (疏瀹: the second character is fanqie yu + lüe [yuè]. Mencius says: "Unblocking (瀹) the sources of waters so they flow freely." The Shenglei says: "Yue (瀹) means briefly plunging things into boiling water and taking them out twice." The Wenzi dian shuo says: "To soak; it is formed from [the radical] 水 (water) with 龠 as phonetic").
