倜儻（上汀歷反下湯朗反博雅云倜儻卓異也史記有奇偉倜儻說文竝從人周黨皆聲也）。

Unconventional and bold (倜: fanqie 汀歷 [tì]; 儻: fanqie 湯朗 [tǎng]. The Boya says: "倜儻 means outstanding and extraordinary." The Shiji has "singular, grand, unconventional and bold." The Shuowen jiezi states: "Both are composed of 人 ('person') with 周 and 黨 phonetic respectively").
