匍匐（上步摸反下朋北反顧野王云手據地伏行也說文匍手行也匐伏也二字並從勹甫畐聲勹音包畐音丕逼反）。

Crawling on hands and knees (匍匐) (The upper character has the fanqie 步摸 [pú]; the lower character has the fanqie 朋北 [fú]. Gu Yewang says: "To crawl on the ground prostrating with one's hands." The Shuowen says: "Pu 匍 means moving on hands; fu 匐 means prostrating. Both characters take 勹 as semantic, with 甫 and 畐 as phonetics." 勹 is pronounced 包 [bāo]; 畐 has the fanqie 丕逼 [bī]).
