欬嚏（上開愛反顧野王云欬嗽也逆氣也從欠亥聲集本作咳音亥哀反恐誤下丁計反蒼頡篇云啑噴鼻也說文悟解氣也從口疐聲疐音竹利反）。

Coughing and sneezing (欬嚏) (The upper character has the fanqie 開愛 [kài]. Gu Yewang says: "Kai 欬 means to cough; it is rebelling qi; it takes 欠 'yawn' as semantic and 亥 as phonetic." The collected edition has 咳, which has the fanqie 亥哀 [hāi], which is feared to be mistaken. The lower character has the fanqie 丁計 [tì]. The Cangjie pian says: "Ti 啑 means sneezing through the nose." The Shuowen says: "Awakening and discharging qi; it takes 口 'mouth' as semantic and 疐 as phonetic." 疐 has the fanqie 竹利 [zhì]).
