僚屬（上了彫反下正屬字孔注尚書云僚官也又左傳云大夫臣士土臣皁卓臣輿輿臣隷隷臣僚顧野王第九品人也說文從人尞聲亦作寮）。

Subordinate officials (僚屬) (The upper character has the fanqie 了彫 [liáo]; the lower is the standard character shu 屬. Kong's commentary on the Shangshu says: "Liao 僚 means official." Also, the Zuozhuan says: "Ministers have grand officers as servants, grand officers have servicemen as servants, servicemen have petty officers as servants, petty officers have carriage-drivers as servants, carriage-drivers have bondsmen as servants, bondsmen have attendants as servants." Gu Yewang says: "Persons of the ninth rank." The Shuowen says: "It takes 人 'person' as semantic and 尞 as phonetic"; it is also written as 寮).
