蹙之: The first character has the fanqie phonetic notation jiu (酒) + yu (育). The Guangya states: '蹙 means to press closely.' Zheng says it means urgent or hurried. We note that pressing with the hand ought to follow the "hand" component as 戚. The Kaosheng states: 'To push and press closely.' The Gujin zhengzi states: 'Analyzed as following the semantic component "hand" (手) and the phonetic component qi (戚).'
