嗑齒（上胡臘反王弼注周易云嗑合也說文從口盍音同上後有者並同）。

嗑齒: The first character has the fanqie phonetic notation hu (胡) + la (臘). Wang Bi's commentary on the Zhouyi states: '嗑 means to close or bite together.' The Shuowen jiezi states: 'Analyzed as following the semantic component "mouth" (口) and the phonetic component he (盍); 盍 has the same pronunciation as above.' Any subsequent occurrences are treated the same.
