黔首（巨廉反史記云始皇二十六年更名民曰黔首也說文從黑今聲）。
黔首 (The fanqie is [巨 + 廉]: qián. The Shiji says: “In the twenty-sixth year of the First Emperor, the people were renamed the ‘Black Heads’ (Qianshou).” Shuowen jiezi says it is formed from “black” (黑) with 今 phonetic).
