Linked horse-bits 連鑣 (fanqie: 表驕 [biāo]). The Shuowen jiezi says: 'A bit (鑣) is a horse's bit.' It takes 金 ('metal') as semantic and 麃 as phonetic. 麃 has the fanqie 薄交.
