赭衣（之野反郭注方言云赭衣赤也考聲亦赤色也說文赤土也從赤者聲也）。
Ochre garments 赭衣 (fanqie: 之野 [zhě]). Guo's commentary to the Fangyan says: 'Ochre garments are red.' The Kaosheng says: 'Also red-colored.' The Shuowen jiezi says: 'Red earth.' It takes 赤 ('red') as semantic and 者 as phonetic.
