銓衡（上音詮郭注尒疋云法律所以銓量輕重也廣雅銓具也稱謂之銓說文亦衡也從金全聲）。

Weigh and evaluate 銓衡 (the upper character has the sound 詮 [quán]). Guo's commentary to the Erya says: 'Standards and regulations are used to weigh and measure lightness and heaviness.' The Guangya says: '銓 means an instrument; a steelyard balance is called a quan.' The Shuowen jiezi says: 'Also a balance.' It takes 金 ('metal') as semantic and 全 as phonetic.
