豺武(上音柴說文狼屬也從[采-木+(豕-一)]才集從犬作𤝔非也下音舞本是虎字今作武者為避廟諱也)。

"Jackal and tiger" (豺武): The first character is pronounced chai. The Shuowen jiezi says: 'A kind of wolf. It is composed of [采-木+(豕-一)] and cai (才) phonetic.' The compiled text mistakenly writes it with the dog radical (犬) as 𤝔. The second character is pronounced wu; it was originally the character hu (虎, tiger), but is written here as wu to observe an imperial temple taboo.
