氓俗（麥耕反劉熙注孟子云遠郊之界稱氓說文眠民也從亡民聲集作珉俗字）。

Common populace (麥耕 fanqie [méng]. Liu Xi's commentary on the Mengzi says: 'Those at the borders of the distant suburbs are called meng.' The Shuowen says: 'Blindly following commoners.' Analyzed as from 亡 with 民 phonetic. The collected edition writes it as 珉, which is a vulgar variant).
