執珽 (pronounced *tì-dǐng* [tǐng]. The *Liji* says: 'The Son of Heaven inserts his jade scepter (*tǐng*), making upright the world.' Zheng [Xuan]'s commentary says: This is a tablet (*hù*). The *Shuowen* states: A large jade scepter three feet in length; it is formed from 'jade' with *tíng* phonetic. *Tíng* is pronounced *tī-dìng* [tǐng]).
