愈縟 (The upper character is fanqie: 逾 + 主. The Mao Shi jian says: 'Yu (逾) means increasingly.' Kong's commentary to the Lunyu says: 'Exceeding.' The Shuowen says: 'It has the mind radical and yu phonetic.' The lower character is fanqie: 襦 + 燭. The Kaosheng says: 'An appearance of deep colors.' The Shuowen says: 'Richly patterned decoration; it has the silk radical and ru is also phonetic').
