玄枵（虛驕反考聲星名也爾雅云玄枵虛也郭注玄虛在正北北方色黑枵之言耗耗亦虛意也說文從木号聲）。

玄枵 (Xu-jiao [xiāo]. The Kaosheng states: 'It is the name of a constellation.' The Erya states: 'Xuanxiao is Xu.' Guo [Pu's] commentary states: 'Xuanxu lies directly in the north; the colour of the north is black [xuan]. Xiao means consumed [hao]; consumption also carries the meaning of empty/void [xu].' The Shuowen has it with the tree classifier [木] and hao [号] as phonetic.)
