蔽襜（鴟詹反爾雅云衣蔽前謂之襜郭注云即今之蔽膝也說文從衣詹聲也）。

Knee-apron (bìchān: the second is fanqie 鴟 + 詹 [chī + zhān]. The Erya states: "Clothing that shields the front is called a chān." Guo's commentary states: "That is the modern bìxī (knee-cover)." The Shuowen jiezi states: "It takes the radical 衣 with 詹 as its phonetic component").
