偏裨（上匹綿反下婢彌反方言偏亦裨也顧野王云若今偏將軍也說文偏從人扁從聲裨從衣卑聲扁音邊殄反集從糸作編謂編織也非此義也）。

Subordinate general (piānbì: the first is fanqie 匹 + 綿 [pǐ + mián]; the second is fanqie 婢 + 彌 [bì + mí]. The Fangyan states: "Piān also means bì." Gu Yewang states: "Like modern deputy generals." The Shuowen jiezi states: "Piān takes the radical 人 with 扁 as phonetic; bì takes the radical 衣 with 卑 as phonetic." 扁 is fanqie 邊 + 殄 [biān + tiǎn]. The collection writes it with the radical 糸 as 編, meaning to weave, which is not this meaning).
