愒曰（枯帶反左傳云玩歲而愒曰杜注云愒貪也何注公羊傳云愒急也說文從心曷聲）。

愒曰 (Greedy for days / idling days away: pronounced *kài* [fanqie: 枯帶]. The *Zuo Commentary* states: "Trifling away the year and greedy for days." Du [Yu's] commentary states: "*Kài* means covetous." He [Xiu's] commentary on the *Gongyang Commentary* states: "*Kài* means hurried." The *Shuowen jiezi* notes it is classified under 'mind' (心) with 曷 as phonetic).
