嶮峭（上希撿反字指嵰嶮不平也考聲山高危皃也古今正字從山僉聲僉音妾鹽反𱜊音欺儼反下鍫醮反聲類峭峻也或從𨸏作陗）。

Steep and sheer (嶮峭) (the first character is pronounced with the fanqie 希撿 [xī + jiǎn = xiǎn]: the Zizhi says, "嵰嶮 means uneven and precipitous." The Kaosheng says, "The appearance of a mountain high and perilous." The Gujin zhengzi writes it with the radical 山 and 僉 as its phonetic; 僉 is pronounced with the fanqie 妾鹽 [qiè + yán = qiān]; 𱜊 is pronounced with the fanqie 欺儼 [qī + yǎn = qiǎn]. The second character is pronounced with the fanqie 鍫醮 [qiāo + jiào = qiào]: the Shenglei says, "峭 means steep." It is also written with the radical 𨸏 as 陗).
