青荄（界諧反爾雅云荄根也方言東齊謂根曰荄說文草根也從草亥聲）。

Green roots (青荄) (gai pronounced with the fanqie 界諧 [jiè + xié = gāi]: the Erya says, "荄 means roots." The Fangyan says, "In Eastern Qi, roots are called gai." The Shuowen says, "Plant roots"; it is classified under the radical 草 with 亥 as its phonetic).
