燔炙（上伐蕃反毛詩傳曰毛曰炰音蒲交反加火曰燔炕火曰炙說文云從火番聲也）。

Fanzhi 燔炙 (The first character is pronounced with the fanqie phonetic spelling fa + fan [fán]. The Mao commentary to the Classic of Poetry says: "Roasting with hair on is called pao (pao is pronounced pu + jiao [páo]); subjecting to fire is called fan; drying over a hearth fire is called zhi." The Shuowen says: "It takes 火 as radical and 番 as phonetic").
