彫牆（上鳥聊反孔注尚書彫畫也說文從彡周聲集從鳥作鵰非也下匠羊反集從土作墻俗字也）。

Diaoqiang 彫牆 (The first character is pronounced with the fanqie phonetic spelling niao + liao [diāo]. Kong [Anguo]'s commentary to the Classic of Documents says: "彫 means carved or painted." The Shuowen says: "It takes 彡 as radical and 周 as phonetic." The collected edition gives it with the bird radical 鳥 as 鵰, which is erroneous. The second character is pronounced with the fanqie jiang + yang [qiáng]. The collected edition writes it with the earth radical 土 as 墻, which is a vulgar character).
