The kingdom named Draviḍa [達利鼻荼] (tu [荼] is pronounced 除加 [ɖ- + (k)a > chá]. This kingdom is in the territory of South India. Here translated as “Melting Down”; this means that the people of this country never tell lies in their lives, and whatever words they utter become incantations. If neighboring countries invade or oppress them, they merely join together in incanting against them, causing them to be destroyed and perish like fire melting tallow).
