耆闍崛山 (The first character is pronounced like 祇 [qí]. In Sanskrit: Gṛdhrakūṭa mountain; translated here as Vulture Peak, also called Vulture Terrace. Because many vultures roost upon the peak of this mountain, and it also resembles a high terrace. Other phonetic renderings are all corrupt, and other explanations are all incorrect; fearing verbosity, I do not state them, but only present the correct words; the following cases should all be understood in accordance with this).
