Collared scops owl (鵂鶹; the first character is pronounced with the fanqie 朽 + 尤 [xiū]; the second character has the sound liú. The Wenzidian shuo says: "The xiūliú is a strange bird." Note that the xiūliú hides by day and flies by night, of the same kind as the wild pheasant and horned owl. It is as large as a black kite, grey-blue in color with red eyes. The Gujin zhengzi writes both with the bird semantic, and 休 and 留 as phonetics respectively).
