鐶釧 [rings and bangles] (The upper character is pronounced with the fanqie 滑關 [huán]. The Boya says: “A finger ring.” The Wenzidian shuo says: “A ring for the little finger.” The Shuowen jiezi says: “Formed from 金 [metal] with an abbreviated 還 as the phonetic element.” The lower character is pronounced with the fanqie 川眷 [chuàn]. The Wenzidian shuo says: “An armlet.” The Shuowen jiezi says: “A wrist ring; formed from 金 [metal] with 川 as the phonetic element”).
