黑蜂（下敷容反爾雅云土蜂木蜂郭注云今江東呼大蜂於地中作房者為馬蜂啖其子者也爾雅正作蠭今俗作蜂或俗音蓬也）。

黑蜂 [black wasps] (The lower character is pronounced with the fanqie 敷容 [fēng]. The Erya says: “Earthen bees and wood wasps.” Guo [Pu]'s commentary says: “Today in Jiangdong, large wasps that make nests in the ground and whose larvae are eaten are called hornets (馬蜂).” The orthodox character in the Erya is 蠭; nowadays it is popularly written as 蜂, or popularly pronounced 蓬 [péng]).
