輕懱（下眠鼈反說文云輕㑥也從心變體作忄從薎音同上經文從竹作篾竹皮也非經義有本從手作[打-丁+蔑]樂名也今不取）。

Disdain and belittle (輕懱: the lower character has the fanqie 眠鼈. The Shuowen says: "To make light of, to treat contemptuously. Formed with [the semantic element] xīn (心), in the altered form 忄, and [the phonetic element] miè (薎); the sound is as above." In the sūtra text it is written with 'bamboo' (竹) as 篾, which means bamboo bark, not the meaning intended in the sūtra. Some editions write it with 'hand' (手) as [打-丁+蔑], which is the name of a musical piece; we do not adopt it here).
