蓊鬱（上屋孔反下溫律反說文鬱草也字從林缶芳久反冖音人𠚍匕彡作鬱經文作欝俗用非也漢書司馬相如云蓊鬱草木盛皃也）。

Luxuriant (蓊鬱: the upper character has the fanqie 屋孔; the lower character has the fanqie 溫律. The Shuowen says: "Dense vegetation. The character is formed with lín (林), fǒu (缶; fanqie 芳久), mì (冖; pronounced rén), qū (𠚍), bǐ (匕), and shān (彡) to make yù (鬱)." In the sūtra text it is written as 欝, which is a vulgar usage and incorrect. The Hanshu says in Sima Xiangru's work: "Wěngyù (蓊鬱) is the appearance of luxuriant trees and plants").
