鐫石（上子緣反字書云鑽也說文云琢金石也從金雋聲也雋音徂兖反從隹臥弓雋字從此有本作鎸誤書也）。

鐫石 (The first character has the fanqie 子緣 [zǐ + yuán]. The Zishu states: 'To bore/drill.' The Shuowen jiezi states: 'To carve metal or stone; derived from 金 [metal] with 雋 as phonetic.' 雋 has the fanqie 徂兖 [cú + yǎn], derived from 隹 [bird] over a reclining 弓 [bow]; the character 雋 is formed from this. Some copies write 鎸, which is an erroneous writing).
