蓍龜（上式之反說文云蓍生千歲三百莖筮者以為策也周易云蓍之德圓而神下居追反說菀云靈龜五彩似玉似金背陰向陽上高像天下平法也禮記云故先王秉蓍龜以決吉凶也）。

Shigui 蓍龜 (The first character has the fanqie phonetic spelling [sh- + -ī > sh-] shì zhī 反. The Shuowen jiezi says: "The yarrow plant lives for a thousand years and produces three hundred stalks; diviners use them as counting rods." The Zhouyi says: "The virtue of the yarrow is round and spiritual." The second character has the fanqie phonetic spelling [g- + -uī > g-] jū zhuī 反. The Shuoyuan says: "The miraculous turtle has five colours, resembling jade and gold; its back is yin and faces the sun; its upper part is high, resembling heaven, and its bottom is flat, emulating the earth." The Liji says: "Therefore the former kings held fast to the yarrow stalks and turtle shells to determine good and ill fortune").
