慷慨（上苦朗反下苦槩反說文云慨太息也文字集略云慷慨竭誠也二字竝從心康既皆聲也）。

Impassioned (慷慨: the upper character has the fanqie 苦朗; the lower character has the fanqie 苦槩; the Shuowen jiezi says 慨 means a deep sigh; the Wenzi jilüe says 慷慨 means exhaustive sincerity; both characters are derived from 心 with 康 and 既 as phonetic components).
