諂誑（上丑琰反又作讇同諛也說文從言臽聲臽音陷經文從舀作謟音他力反非經義舀音以沼反下居況反欺也字書從言狂聲說文從心作㤮義同）。

諂誑 (flattery and deception: the first character is *ch[ǒu]-y[ǎn]* fan; also written 讇, identical: flattery. The Shuowen jiezi states that it is classified under 言 [speech] with 臽 phonetic; 臽 is pronounced 陷 [*xiàn*]. The sūtra text writing it with 舀 as 謟 is pronounced *t[ā]-l[ì]* fan, which is not the meaning of the sūtra. 舀 is pronounced *y[ǐ]-zh[ǎo]* fan. The second character is *j[ū]-ku[àng]* fan: deception. Character dictionaries classify it under 言 [speech] with 狂 phonetic. The Shuowen jiezi classifies it under 心 [heart] as 㤮, with the same meaning).
