繽紛（上疋賓反下芳分反考聲云繽紛亂也書云繽紛眾多皃集訓云繽紛盛貌竝從糸賓分聲也糸音覓繽正作繽字）。

Profuse / fluttering (繽紛) (The first [character] has the fanqie pǐ + bīn [bīn]. The second has the fanqie fāng + fēn [fēn]. The Kaosheng states: 'Bīnfēn means chaotic.' The Documents says: 'Bīnfēn is the appearance of great numbers.' The Jixun states: 'Bīnfēn is the appearance of abundance.' Both derive from silk (糸) with bīn (賓) and fēn (分) as phonetics. 糸 has the sound mì. The character bīn is properly written as 繽).
