聚落（上疾喻反韋昭漢書云小鄉曰聚蕃籬曰落以人所居故也聚字說文云從乑從取聲乑音吟從三人）。

聚落 (The first character is pronounced with the fanqie *j-*, [ju], from 疾 and 喻. Wei Zhao's commentary to the *Hanshu* states: 'A small township is called a 聚; an enclosed settlement with a hedge is called a 落; because it is where people dwell.' For the character 聚, the *Shuowen* states: 'It takes 乑 as semantic and 取 as phonetic; 乑 is pronounced *y-*, [yin], and is composed of three 人 [persons].')
