茵蓐 (The first character is pronounced with the fanqie *y-*, [yin], from 於 and 真. The second character is pronounced with the fanqie *r-*, [ru], from 如 and 欲. The commentary to the *Mao Shi* states: '茵 means tiger skin.' The *Yupian* states: 'Using tiger skin as a mat is called 茵.' It is also written as 鞇. Guo's commentary on the *Erya* states: '蓐 means a mat.' The *Shenglei* states: '蓐 means bedding.' It is also written as 褥, which is the same character. Note: for the two characters 茵 and 蓐, if made of skin, they are written with 艸 [grass]; if made of leather, they are written with 革 as 鞇.)
