屠獵（上唐胡反考聲云殘殺也說文刳也從尸都省聲也下廉葉反考聲云犬逐獸也尒雅曰獵虛也又取也亦謂畋獸為獵說文云從犬鼠聲也鼠音云上）。

Butcher and hunt (屠獵: the first character has the fanqie 唐 + 胡; Kaosheng states, “To slaughter and destroy.” Shuowen says, “To disembowel; it takes 尸 with 都 abbreviated for phonetic.” The second character has the fanqie 廉 + 葉; Kaosheng states, “Hounds chasing beasts.” Erya says, “Lie means empty; it also means to take; it also refers to hunting beasts as lie.” Shuowen says, “It takes 犬 with 鼠 for phonetic; 鼠 is pronounced as above”).
