垣牆（上遠元反毛詩傳曰垣亦牆也下匠羊反聲類云亦牆垣也尚書云無敢逾垣牆說文牆敝也從嗇爿聲也經中或作墻[堐-圭+(土/回)][爿*((暴-(日/共))/回)]竝俗）。

Low and high walls (垣牆: the first character has the fanqie 遠 + 元; the Mao Commentary to the Book of Odes says, “Yuan is also a wall.” The second character has the fanqie 匠 + 羊; Shenglei says, “Also a wall. The Book of Documents says, ‘None dare cross walls.’ Shuowen says, ‘A wall is a sheltering enclosure; it takes 嗇 with 爿 for phonetic.’ In the sūtras it is sometimes written 墻, [堐-圭+(土/回)], or [爿*((暴-(日/共))/回)], which are all popular forms”).
