捔力（上古岳反合單作角考聲云競也切韻云角牴戲也今作捔說文云掎捔也有經作捔椓又作斠平斗斛槩也皆非角力義掎音居綺反）。

捔力 (The first character is pronounced 古 + 岳 fanqie, properly simplified to 角. The Kaosheng says: 'To compete.' The Qieyun says: 'Horn-butting sports.' Here written 捔. The Shuowen jiezi says: 'To seize and drag.' Some sūtras write 捔椓, or 斠, which means to level a dou or hu measure; none of these conveys the sense of wrestling or competing in strength. 掎 is pronounced 居 + 綺 fanqie).
