廛里（上直連反考聲云市空地也又居也經作[堐-圭+(里/八/土)]𫮈皆俗字下良史反周禮云五家為隣五隣為里也風俗通云里止也謂五十家共止為里也）。

廛里 (The first character is pronounced 直 + 連 fanqie. The Kaosheng says: 'An open plot in a marketplace; also to dwell.' The sūtra text writes [堐-圭+(里/八/土)] or 𫮈, both of which are popular variants. The second character is pronounced 良 + 史 fanqie. The Rites of Zhou says: 'Five households form a lin; five lin form a li.' The Fengsu tong says: 'Li means to reside [zhi], meaning fifty households residing together constitute a li').
