坏瓦（上芳杯反說文云未燒瓦器也下五寡反又作瓦像形也古考史曰夏時昆吾氏始作瓦也）。

坏瓦 (for the first character, [pī], fanqie 芳杯 [pʰ- + -uʌi = pʰuʌi/pī]. The Shuowen says: “Unbaked earthenware vessels.” For the second character, [wǎ], fanqie 五寡 [ŋ- + -ua = ŋua/wǎ]. Also written 瓦, a pictograph. The Gukaoshi says: “In the Xia dynasty, the Kunwu clan first made earthenware tiles.”)
