猿猴（上王元反爾雅作蝯云猱蝯善援郭注云便攀援也下音侯獼猴也從犬侯聲也）。

Apes and monkeys (yuanhou 猿猴: the first character has the fanqie [reading] wang + yuan [yuan]. The Erya writes it as 蝯 and states: "The naoyuan is good at pulling itself up." Guo [Pu's] commentary states: "It is adept at climbing and clambering." The second character is pronounced hou: a macaque. It takes 'dog' [as semantic component] and hou as phonetic).
