炳曜（上兵永反考聲明也說文煥明也從火[丙/一]形聲字下弋肖反韻英云日光也切韻照也又作耀燿二形光耀炫燿也）。

Radiantly bright (bingyao 炳曜: the first character has the fanqie [reading] bing + yong [bing]. The Kaosheng says: "Bright." The Shuowen [jiezi] says: "Blazing and bright." It takes 'fire' [as semantic component] with 丙 over 一; it is a phono-semantic character. The second character has the fanqie [reading] yi + xiao [yao]. The Yunying says: "Sunlight." The Qieyun says: "To illuminate." It is also written in the two forms 耀 and 燿, meaning glorious light and dazzling shine).
