Thunderclap [霹靂] (The first character has the fanqie phonetic spelling 疋 + 壁; the second is pronounced 曆; Gu Yewang says: "A great thunderclap rumbling"; the Lunheng says: "The sound of yin and yang qi striking against each other"; both are composed of rain [雨] with 辟 and 歷 as their respective phonetics; some write them as 礔礰, which is incorrect).
