縛撲 (The first character has the fanqie *fu* + *jue* [fu]. The *Shuowen* states: "To tie up." A character dictionary states: "To seize and bind. It takes the 'silk' radical and an abbreviated phonetic *bo*." In the sūtra text it is written with 專 as 縳, pronounced *zhuan*, which is incorrect. The second character has the fanqie *man* + *jiao* [pu]. The *Kaosheng* states: "To beat and strike." The *Qieyun* states: "To wrestle or knock each other down." The sūtra text writes [木*雹], which is incorrect.)
