警覺（上京影反孔注尚書云驚戒也亦覺也字書云寤也古今正字從言敬聲）。

警覺 (The upper character has the fanqie 京影 [j- + -(y)ing = jǐng]. Kong's commentary on the Shangshu says: 'To awaken and warn; also, to be aware.' Character dictionaries say: 'To awaken.' The Gujin zhengzi states it is formed with the semantic classifier 言 [speech] and phonetic 敬).
