鉤𡩡（下所革反說文入家搜也從宀索聲考聲云取也求也今俗省去宀但從市從糸作索也宀音彌仙反）。

To probe and search (鉤𡩡: the second character is pronounced *suo* + *ge* [= *suǒ*]; the *Shuowen jiezi* says it means to enter a house and search; it has the roof radical [宀] with the phonetic *suo* [索]; the *Kaosheng* says it means to take or to seek; nowadays it is commonly abbreviated by omitting the roof radical, written simply with the market radical and silk radical as 索; the roof radical [宀] is pronounced *mi* + *xian*).
