彗星（上隨銳反考聲妖星也尒雅曰彗星為欃槍郭璞注云亦謂之孛星言其形孛孛似掃彗或云掃星或云孛星或云攙槍星或云彗星也）。

Comet (彗星: the first character is pronounced *sui* + *rui* [= *huì*]; the *Kaosheng* says it is an ominous star; the *Erya* says: "A comet is called *chanqiang*"; Guo Pu's commentary says it is also called a bushy star [*bo star*], referring to its shape flaring out like a broom; it is variously called a broom star, a bushy star, a *chanqiang* star, or a comet).
